Giovanni Molo
Giovanni Molo was born in Lugano on 18 November 1971. After completing secondary schools and junior college in Ticino, he studied economic and social sciences at the University of Geneva, where he graduated in 1994, and law at the University of St. Gallen, graduating in 1998. He also attended the London School of Economics (LSE) where in 1995 he earned a Master of Science degree. More recently, alongside his work he perfected his legal training by earning an LL.M. in International economic law and European law at Lausanne University in 2005.
Upon completing his law clerking – begun in 1998 – in one of Zurich's major law firms, as well as in the offices of the Appeals Section of the Council of State (the first instance in administrative litigation) and at District Court in Bellinzona, he has since 2001 been a practicing attorney in the law offices of Bolla Bonzanigo & Associati.
Mr. Molo is a partner in the law Firm since 2009.
His activity involves representing clients in court or arbitration proceedings, but also providing legal and business consultancy. More particularly Mr. Molo has assisted individuals, corporations and public agencies in business and banking law matters and in proceedings involving international judicial assistance, especially in bank-related matters, in Ticino and in Geneva. He also handled proceedings involving white-collar crimes and criminal negligence before both cantonal and federal courts, and administrative issues in building construction and land planning matters. As a consultant he assisted in particular financial intermediaries in connection with compliance and contract matters. He has also represented clients in different mergers and acquisitions.
He is the author and/or co-author of several articles in law reviews, such as the Swiss Review of International and European Law (SZIER/RSDIE), the Swiss Review of Civil Procedure (SZZP/RSPC), the "Aktuelle Juristische Praxis" (AJP/PJA) and the Law Review of Canton Ticino.
